Controller/Base Station

- One Samsung SLiM system can have only one controller. The controller is the interface between the KSU and the mobile handsets. The controller functions as a base station. It contains the radio functionality and antenna operating at 2.4GHz.
- Support up to 8 voice calls or handsets. It can handle 8 simultaneous voice conversations or handsets. The controller has one handset to one SLI port ratio. That means it requires having one SLI port assigned to each handset.
- Connection to KSU through SLI (single line interface) ports. It connects to the key phone system through SLI (single analog line interface) ports. All SLI system features are available to the handsets except caller ID.
- It is powered by a small AC adapter (wall wart).

Repeater

- Wireless connection to the controller. It connects to the controller via wireless link. It can be placed within the coverage of the controller to extend the coverage of the system.
- Support up to 2 voice calls or handsets. It can handle 2 simultaneous voice conversations or handsets. The repeater is used to increase the coverage of the system. It is not used to increase the voice traffic channels. The total system capacity is 8 voice calls. If a repeater uses 2 voices calls, the voice channels to other coverage area is reduced to 6. If all 8 calls are used by the coverage area of the controller/base station, there is no voice channel available to the repeater coverage area at this time.
